Labor Day mini rant

In honor of Labor Day, I bring you:

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT PAPERLESS DRYWALL
(typed with an epic, anouncer-ish voice to add gravitas)

1. The smell (mold resistant spray??)
2. Heavier than regular drywall
3. Harder to cut than regular drywall (due to glass fibers)
4. Glass fibers stick in your clothes
5. Glass fibers stick in your skin
6. Itching from the glass fibers
7. Breathing in the glass fibers
8. Saps moisture from your skin more than regular drywall
9. Sanding edges makes more dust than regular drywall
10. Makes a funny crackling noise when sinking screws into it

THINGS I LIKE ABOUT PAPERLESS DRYWALL
1. Insha'Allah no mold in walls
2. Harder to dent/damage sides/ends
3. More flexible than regular drywall

This mini rant has been brought to you by DensArmor Mold Resistant Paperless Drywall (copyrighted 2006/2007, Georgie-Pacific Corp., Inc.). Use of this rant, in whole or in part, is expressly forbidden without written permission of both DensArmor and Rain.

So what is this drywall being used for? What kind of renovation are you doing? Is it much more expensive to buy and install?

I am curious as I mentally plan out yet another tweaking on the old homestead.

Salaams, Sadiyah,
It costs about $1.50 more per sheet here (but everything is a bit more money here). It's going in a basement, which has not had a history of water problems, but the woman who owns the house has severe asthma and mold is a trigger. Seemed smarter to use this...

And have I mentioned how much I hate this stuff??!! *itch, itch* lol
