Remodeling (and life) update

Well, the remodel is going well. I'm working on it every weekend and 2-3 nights a week. Demo is done and we have started framing in the laundry room. All we have left is the diagonal wall that will contain the doorway, framing in the soffit around the air purifier duct work, drywall, texturing, and laying the laminate flooring. I went ahead and cut everything for the diagonal wall, I just need to frame it in and raise it. Once the downstairs is finished, we'll start on the kitchen.

I have to admit, I am still enjoying myself. There is something so... relaxing and fufilling about building. I guess it's seeing a project finished and (hopefully) well done.

Otherwise, not much else going on. Below is one of my best friends photos. It was taken on Exit Glacier Road in Seward, about this time of year. The bears had just got done thrashing his camp. Since they didn't trash my tent, I'd say it was an even trade. Of course, he (and his broken tent) might disagree. ;)

This is a very discomforting picture...those are freakin bears! Bears! Four bears. Living in Alaska is so ridiculous!
There is something so... relaxing and fulfilling about painting...total wax on wax off kids off the chain and I am in The Zone.
I may have to start on another room. Shoots, I may start a mural! Ohhh yeah.
FYI: YOU spelled fulfilling wrong.

You gotta love Alaska. I would almost suspect that a native would keep on his way and walk right through those bears on his way down that road. Me myself I'd be running the other way. I hear those things can get up to great speed like 30 mph or better and can run down caribou. However the source of this info is suspect. I hope those bears are full.
